Default Dozens charged in nationwide US College acceptance Scheme

Big news and not just because of some of the names of the indicted. Basically, it is a scheme to get people accepted to top schools as student athletes based on fake athletic resumes, having third parties take entrance exams etc. All for large sums of money of course.

Actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin are two of the indicted. Other indicted include admin and coaches from Yale, Wake Forest, and UCLA. Just another example of how much money talks in the US college system.

Quote:
Huffman, best known for her role on TV's "Desperate Housewives," is accused of paying $15,000 to an organization that then facilitated cheating for her daughter on the SATs, the indictment said. Huffman also discussed the scheme in a recorded phone call with a cooperating witness, the indictment said.
