I find Marvel doesnt make it easy for new readers to jump on board a series. I have often tried to read Avengers since I started reading comics but between the constant re-numbering, numerous events and the changing roster of the team I just lost interest. There are several characters I grew up with but now if I want to read them they are completely different people. Which is fine if you have been reading the books, its nice to see growth in the stories but for a new reader I get confused. I prefer DC where Bruce Wayne is still Batman, Clark Kent is Superman ect.
