While this is true, Calgary traded 3 years of Hamilton and 1 year of Ferland for 6 years of each of Lindholm and Hanafin. And at RFA prices.
Now Hamilton and/or Ferland might be extended, but at UFA prices.
That's asset management to a T.
I really don't care how well Ferland or Hamilton do with Carolina, it doesn't affect what Calgary got in this deal. Same for Fox, who made it very clear he wasn't signing for Calgary.
