I'm pretty sure they closed Indefatigable because in addition to the bears, when you got higher up nearing and onto the ridge, it's sketchy as ####. The beginning part of the hike wasn't bad but if you kept going it would get really bad unless you were very skilled, confident and prepared to take risks.
