I guess my view though is in the late 20s you are going to have to choose between players that simply don't have the raw ability, regardless of their work ethic, or players that due have the raw ability but have some flaws, perhaps including work ethic.
Obviously that's far too binary, but work ethic is something that can be addressed. Lack of natural talent can't.
For what its worth the guys I have my eye on for the Flames would be:
- Kaliyev
- Brink
- Seider
- Harley
- McMichael
But that's a very uneducated view of things.
I also think there isn't much to separate 20-50 and would be favor of trading down to the low 30s to pick up an extra pick.
In fact I think that would be the most prudent approach unless a guy they really love is sitting their at 26.
