Definitely a tough call on trading Stamkos, but we couldn't look past our pending UFA group. Adding Tarasenko on a very cap friendly 3 year deal was key and we fully expect him to jump up in ratings again. Adding a 1st round pick sealed the deal. Steven Stamkos and his 10G 11A 21P will immediately step onto the teams top line to play with Daddy Mac.
I am pretty sure most of our issues here come from Daddy mac but we refuse to go down that path; he could be a Shark for life (or at least another 10 games if we continue to suck).
We think we paid a heavy price for Stamkos and his points but we are willing to try anything right now. At this point I may even bring in James Neal.
