The Flames also aren't an organization that relies on burn it down style rebuilds. The Flames, in the past, have refused to move their top prospects for rentals. I really don't see that changing now. Picks sure, but not players they've poured resources into developing.

He has hit his offensive peak a little later but I wouldn't say he was a late bloomer.
A top 3 pick that played in the NHL at 19 is hardly a late bloomer.
