Since you're on the board, can you provide a little insight about whether the Flames owners themselves contribute personally to the foundation? Looking at the annual report, it looks like at least 84% of revenue comes from 50/50 and fundraising events, but nothing really mentioned about Flames/Ownership contribution (maybe they are part of 6% donations+sponsorships?).
In the end it doesn't necessarily matter where the money is coming from if it helps those in need, but I'm sure many would be more willing to heap more praise on the Flames themselves if they knew ownership were personally making donations too. Otherwise optically it can often look like they are just repurposing the generosity of others.
