The rant of course, is totally wrong (and I say this as someone who lives in the area).

Copying my post from Skyscraperpage:

There are heated shelters on the platform, which are wind breaks, bus shelters are being installed in September, and there are plenty of benches. That "ugly station fence" was probably put there by the strip mall and forces people to walk an extra 50 feet if they want to get to the strip mall. Saddletowne Station got half of it's platform covered, which is the same amount that every new station is getting. Saddletowne station's light towers look really good, especially at night.

Brochures detailing all of the new bus route changes were mailed to everyone in the community, which included two free transit tickets, and the same brochures were available to anyone at the opening event.

I don't know how Martindale station is going to funnel wind any differently then if it had no canopy.
