Well Grant Wahl's brother has retracted his statement that he believes Grant was murdered.

A 65 year old man in a High-Stress environment surrounded by thousands and thousands of people?

I do think we as a society need to take a long, hard look at our beliefs that COVID is over and/or that other major illnesses arent out there also looking to kick our asses.

Wahl at 49 and otherwise healthy seems like an outlier, Pearce at 65 seems more run of the mill.

Consider the Qataris however you want, but they generally arent stupid. There is very little for them to gain in this so I find 'Foul Play' highly unlikely.

Although it is intriguing that Journalists are dropping at a higher-than-average rate compared to...'nobody else' that we've heard of.

Granted, you're more likely to hear about Journalists than you would just average fans. Though one would imagine that an international tournament without alcohol would have a much lower than average mortality rate.
