He obviously didn't want to play out his career on the rebuilding Blue Jays, or at least wasn't willing to switch positions on what will most likely be a basement dweller.
He's dropping hints at playing for the A's, and obviously is willing to be more flexible for an opportunity to play for cheap on a 90+ win team from last season.
I can't blame him really.
