Maybe in a direct comparison position for position, player for player. Yeah Canada still is superior.
But in a one and done setup like the Olympic tournament, that is the best US lineup I have seen on quite some time.
It is too bad the NHL isn't going to South Korea. But after Sochi where there really wasn't much drama outside the weird Latvia game (I think it was Latvia). I was pretty meh on the tournament. The Canadians were just so dominant, the Gold medal game was a clinic.
My best memories of Olympic Hockey were the dramatics of Salt Lake City and Vancouver. I think this hypothetical US team had the best chance of bringing that back.
