Is this enough though? Referees should wear shoulder patches with 97 on it for non oiler games, and all have the number 97 when officiating oiler games. There should also be two tick boxes on the official score sheet so that the glitter twins can automatically pick up assists on unassisted goals.
I’m thinking that there should be a box referee as well. They should have the sole purpose of approving or declining penalties based upon the oilers broadcast crew. That would ensure that players that they determine “with intent” to skate in the vicinity also get penalized.
Finally, there should be a new penalty added just for one player. It’s the crossover rule. If Mavi isn’t given the opportunity and ice space to complete 5 crossovers “whenever and at Mavi’s convenience”, it’s a 2 minute penalty.
It’s only fair!
