Not really.

Most Texans are on term electric plans. Everyone’s rate may be slightly different, but it is at least a fixed price for a defined term.

So the high spot electricity prices likely won’t affect most Texans.

And, besides, for the millions of Texans that currently don’t have power, at least their bill for these days will be zero.
