There were no upsets in the Women's Hockey quarterfinals. Russia and Finland both advance to the semifinals.

USA plays Finland late Sunday night. Canada plays Russia early Monday morning. The winners will meet in the Gold Medal game on Thursday night.

----------

After a surprising regulation loss to Slovakia to open the Men's Hockey tournament, the Russians woke up and destroyed Slovenia and the USA, outscoring their opponents by a combined score of 12-2.

Russia wins Group B with 6 points. The rest of the field finishes with 4 points after Slovenia defeated Slovakia in a shootout.

Slovenia finished second in the Group with two OT/SO wins, USA and Slovakia end up third and fourth in the Group. None of them are a danger to get the bye to the quarterfinals.

----------

The only thing standing in Canada's way to a Quarterfinal bye is their own ability to defeat Korea in regulation, and the possibility of OT in the Sweden-Finland game. If Canada wins and the SWE-FIN game ends in regulation, Canada gets the bye.

Canada can guarantee the bye regardless of what happens in the FIN-SWE game if they defeat Korea by at least 5 goals. Korea lost to Switzerland 8-0, so a 5 goal differential isn't out of the question.

----------

Rachel Homan's Women's Curling rink finally woke up, dominating the team from the USA by a score of 11-3 in only 7 ends.

Their record is now 1-3, and can't afford any more stumbles, but they still have a chance.
