It's quarterfinals time!!
First off from Antwerp, Belgium, it was a bittersweet day for the local lads as Belgium's #1 (#10th ranked) David Goffin got outpointed by 19 year old promising Greek upstart (#122 ranked) Stefanos Tsitsipas 2-6, 7-6, 7-6.
There was better news on the way for the partisans regarding another other Belgium hero though as Ruben Bemelmans (#98) managed to outlast grinder Joao Sousa (#61) to the tune of 4-6, 7-6, 6-4.
The next quarterfinal matchup consisted of two French vets going at it with Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (#17) seeing off his compatriot in journeyman Julien Benneteau (#93) by the score of 7-6, 6-2.
The outcome of one more Antwerp QF match is still yet to be determined as ultimate grinders David Ferrer (#31) and Diego Schwartzman (#26) are currently embroiled in their battle. Latest update has Schwartzman leading Ferrer 7-5, 3-1 to this point.
