I agree with the Captain. Even if wealth inequality is greater than ever, the base has come up a lot and there are fewer people in extreme poverty than ever. Greenhouse gasses are a problem, but our air quality is way better than it was in the mid 20th century in major cities.
There is still a lot of room for us to improve though and we need to keep pushing to get better.
