I'm not familiar with that product or the building code in your area, but in CoC, an attached garage has to be completely sealed from the house, which means that the adjoining wall needs to be fire taped. Since that was formerly an exterior wall, it might not be an issue for you, but you might want to check with your inspector or building code manager in your county.
I guess when I think about it, it's called Alberta Building code, so the rules are probably the same, but I'm talking about a new build house with attached garage.
