The first is off the table this year for me. The Flames need good players on entry level deals in the next few years to have any level of sustained success. They have had very few picks in the first 2 rounds lately and already gave up a 2nd this year
We had seen trade deadlines in the past (buyers markets) where 1st round picks weren’t on the table for deals (oddly enough that seemed to happen the years the flames were looking to sell
)
Hopefully Tre can pull something valuable this year without giving up the 1st, even if it may be a 25-31 pick
