I put a cover on, I just make sure the breaker is turned off before I do to avoid accidentally running it while covered. Good? Bad? I have no idea

Edit: quick search looks like the only reason to do it is to keep leaves and debris out, I uncover in early spring so I don't think the mold concerns apply.
