I agree 2nd and 3rd round picks shouldn't be used on players just for their size. Nobody would care if they were low round picks. Honestly people don't seem too upset about Smith being a seemingly wasted 2nd round pick. I guess there was some distaste at the time of the draft, but that's about it.
But hey, not all prospects work out and it doesn't matter where they were drafted. This poll is up to round 25 after all.
Best part about looking at the Flames prospect pool is not only does it seem deep, but very balanced. Promising goaltending, defense and forward prospects. Not only having the positions, but all types of players within those positions. Small and skilled, big and mean, small and mean, big and skilled.
