I doubt you will have any trouble on the racism front if you are westernized and speak English.
One thing though is that most of Europe didn't have the civil rights movements that North America had; therefore many people don't have the sensitivity conditioning that we have. For example, one of my Chinese-Canadian friend went to Austria, Hungary, Germany, Poland and Belarus, and he said that people kept jokingly referring to him as Jackie Chan. I sort of cringed when I heard that, but I doubt they meant anything rude. To his credit, he has a very good sense of humour about it.
