Gaudreau courts potential UFAs and is one of the first players on the team to welcome newly added personnel. He rides in the Stampede Parade every year. He is already deeply invested in the city and the Flames. If they are competitive when he enters free agency I see no reason why he would not be highly motivated to stay in Calgary.

I think this is because of the way the flames and fans embraced his parents, from Jay ensuring his mother that her boy is in good hands , bringing his parents to Calgary , even this year with Guy the the parade. the way Calgary has embraced his parents goes a long way with Johnny
