He's dropping hints at playing for the A's, and obviously is willing to be more flexible for an opportunity to play for cheap on a 90+ win team from last season.

It’s the lack of transparency I have a big problem with. What you’re describing is perfectly reasonable. But when you don’t say that and just end it with a period it comes across as spoiled and not realizing his position as a teammate. I guess Beane sees opportunity but if I were to guess he’ll be cut from a contender at the end of spring training. Being off this long so late in his career in a game of precision milliseconds means it’s unlikely he’ll fully recover to be a productive player, or even a bench player IMO.
