Default Starting a business help

I'm toying with starting a business to supplement my income. The thing is, I don't think I'll make more than $1-2K/mth, because my main job is definitely taking priority.

I mainly have loads of tax questions, and how to account for the mix of my personal expenses with my new business, (what can I write off).

Is an accountant the best way to go? Are they able to give pretty broad advice? Most importantly, how much do they cost, and is that worth it if I dont think I'll be making more that 1-2K a month?

Thanks CP!
