The shoulder is super wide and there are no turnoffs to cross so I never really feared for my safety. I'm also going uphill for most of it so my speeds aren't crazy.
There's a lot of guys who park in the middle before the bridge to go fishing, and I consider getting in and out of there to be more dangerous.
I just don't want to get a ticket for riding there if it's illegal.
