McDavid is a superstar, not question and an unbelievable offensive talent, but I will never call him generational, especially when the most recent Generational player in Crosby plays hard all over the ice.
From Flybys to coasting back on backchecks to sitting up on the blueline while his team battles for the puck tells me that his give a crap meter is low compared to guys like Crosby and Yzerman and other superstars who care more about their game then just stats.
