They’re very similar situations actually. Nashville has two solid goalies locked up for the next few years. Boston is in the same position now that Halak is playing well. So why trade from a position of strength when you need that strength for the playoffs? For the record, Boston is currently sitting 4th in the east and 3rd in their division. They have one of the best lines in hockey with solid defence and goaltending. They’re a contender.
