Sorry for laughing, but my MIL is the same. She isn't even wearing the compression knee supports I got her, no idea why I am still looking at this type of product.
Have you tried using them yourself to see if they benefit able bodied individuals? My knees aren't the best, but I've never considered anything more than a compression knee brace necessary. If it'll benefit greatly for me carrying my kids for a long period of time though...
