The Sabres added an extra body for the final few games and for the playoffs. I needed a guy with a decent SC rating to slot in as needed.
Sabres send a 2019 3rd round pick to Vancouver for Ales Freaking Hemsky.
He's a UFA at end of the year and I obviously wont grid him but I like him as an injury replacement for the rest of the year if nothing else. Who knows, maybe he can chip in on our gawd awful power play.
