This is quite helpful a thread. We are also planning a trip to California. We are heading there in June/July. 3 days in Lake Tahoe, 3 days in San Francisco, 1 day in Monterey/Cambria while driving to LA, 2nights in LA and then 2 nights in San Diego.

We are a few families together. Basically 22/23 year olds going to California with their parents.

I will be keeping a close eye on this thread. If I come across something great, will definitely add.
