One thing I was thinking about was rating tiers for players in the CPHL - since I don't think a 70 OV dman and 70 OV forward should technically have equal value (for example)

So if you base tiers among the players based on there being 28 CPHL teams (Each tier is top 28 ranked players in that group) here is how it looks:

Forwards:
1FWD:76-81
2FWD: 73-76
3FWD: 72-73
2nd Line: 69-72
3rd Line: 66-69
4th Line: 64-66

Defense
1D: 73-79
2D: 71-73
3D: 70-71
4D: 68-70
Bottom Pairing: 66-68

It's interesting to look at because a 71 OV D-Man gets you a top pairing d-man by ranking in the CPHL, where a 71 OV FWD gets you a second line forward.

So not really "equal" value based on ratings - and a 71 OV D-man should carry a premium over a 71 OV Forward for example. Since a number 2 d-man should be more valuable than a 4/5 forward.

Then for Goalies it goes:

Goalies
Elite (Top 10): 88+
Quality Starter: 85-87
Borderline Starter / Elite Backup: 83-84
Quality Backup: 81-82
Okay Backup: 78-80
