What I’m finding odd in all this is MLBs position on this. Anyone who’s worked in a corporate environment of any sort knows they try and minimize public outcry when it comes to questionable credibility. MLB in this case continues to allow the white box to be overlayed over the screen to see the strikes and balls despite it hurting their credibility. This leads me to believe they want public outcry to get bad enough where they force the electronic strike zone, and I’m thinking it happens next year. Still bizarre they’ll let it be shown in the meantime.
