It's not an app, but...
TrekBSS.com switched board software about 3 years ago, and now they have a mobile site that functions wonderfully (no Tapatalk required). And they still have ads. Not sure what they were running on before, but it looked very much like Calgarypuck does now. Now they're running on XenoForo (at least that's what I read on the bottom just now).
No idea about this stuff, costs, etc., just thought I'd throw it out there.
