I still think he has the potential to be a top 6 forward. Problem for him is the Flames are looking to be pretty stacked in a couple of years with Monahan, Gaudreau, Bennett, Poirier and possibly Baertschi & others ahead of him on the depth chart. He'll probably be contributing from the 3rd line, which I don't see as being a problem. |
I think his ability to move up and down between the top 6 and the 3rd line as well play in all situations and play both wings bodes really well for him. I haven't seen him live this year but whenever I watch his U18 or WHL highlights, what strikes me is his ability to finish. Exactly the kind of player we need.
