Corey Pronman from The Athletic says the Flames have the 10th best 22 or younger system in the NHL. Interestingly, he has Connor Zary as the 2nd most valuable piece behind Tkachuk ahead of Dube, Valimaki and MEP. And he has Jeremie Poirier ahead of Jakob Pelletier. Clearly, Pronman likes the 2020 draft.

Calgary has been efficient in recent years at the draft, making good use of its picks and signings. The 2016 draft aged very well with how good Matthew Tkachuk and Dillon Dube became. I’m also very high on the Flames’ 2020 top pick Connor Zary.
