Great thread. We have a 6 month old puppy. Just a little guy. When it is freezing cold outside, he goes on this cool astro turf thing that we bought on Amazon. We keep it on the deck and clean up his mess immediately. Dog crap has never touched my backyard...yet.
When it is nice out, we take him for a walk. Our kids have been trained to pick up his #### no matter what. When my son admitted one day that he didn't pick it up we drove him back to the spot and he cleaned it up.
There is a special place in hell for dog owners that don't clean up after their animal.
