So? Lots of sports/leagues/tournaments aren’t best on best, it doesn’t make them irrelevant.

I didn't say irrelevant. I said different from other tournaments.
I like the Worlds fine for kids that are trying to establish themselves or gain confidence. It's great for that. Lindholm, for example, could use a boost in ego right now.
