Seriously though, I know its hard to buy Christmas gifts for parents. They're old. They've had a lifetime to accumulate...whatever they want.
For my mom I've switched to getting her things to do. Whether its cooking classes (that you will unfortunately likely have to attend) or chipping in on trips she wants to go on. Experiences rather than stuff?
This may not work on everyone, but things like a hotel room in Banff where they can do what they want?
Obviously it depends on your budget.
Our parents likely have all of the 'stuff' that they want, so go for experiences they may have put off?
