Both things can be true. The Flames have a year to assess their current goalies and can also be looking to add another goalie to the mix to assess. Treliving's been in on young goalies only to not land them in the past, I wouldn't doubt for a moment he's investigating every possible option to solidify the goaltending for the organization in the long term.
I hope that Parsons, Gillies, and/or Rittich end up being part of the long term, and believe they have it in them to be long term contributors. Adding more to the pool isn't a bad idea either though.
