Maybe McDavid wants this to... and will request a trade otherwise.
But more realistically would be the fact that I think Katz thinks that once he gets McDavid into the playoffs, he'll go beast mode and win them a round or two all on his own. Problem is.... I don't see McDavid having a playoff gear - he seems to play all out regardless if it's preseason, regular, or the playoffs (only one sample year there).
