I dont know right now if I slot Brodie with Giordano heading into round 1. Razzmatazz is feeling it now and having Brodie down manning his pairing is just fine. I think Cassie Camlbell hit the nail on the head last night. Brodies at his best in the 18-19 minutes a night range whereas he may end up playing closer to 23 with gio. If Having Andersson run with Gio keeps Brodie in his prime wheelhouse and gives the team better balance. Plus Brodie still get his special teams time.
Honestly, it doesn't matter much. The Flames this year have nothing but the best kind of problems when it comes to defensive depth.
Teams have to take a massive bloody chunk out of the d corps to thin it out. We still have 4 capable NHL level d men in the Flanks after the the 6 playing on any given night.
I cannot recall this happening ever with the Flames.
