AMC announced Monday morning that a new series will join the Walking Dead Universe. The still-untitled show will be the third in the Dead franchise, exploring a moment in the post-apocalyptic timeline after the events of The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead.
The new series, created by The Walking Dead Universe’s chief creative officer, Scott Gimple, and The Walking Dead writer Matt Negrete, will feature two young female protagonists and focus on the first generation that had to come of age amid the apocalyptic landscape.
