They kind of had to add those teams though for balance...no?
Otherwise you'd have 2 pools with 7 teams each, and a 6 game round robin just wouldn't be sufficient and certainly wouldn't work for TV purposes.
Either way i think they have pretty damn good formula and it keeps viewers interested all week.
