I’m not following your logic about his Even Strength production.
13 points in 18 games before Bennett - .72 PPG
8 points in 12 games with Bennett - .67 PPG
So all of a sudden Bennett is a problem playing with Tkachuk because he’s producing at a rate of .05 PPG lower with Bennett than without. Or the equivalent of 4 whole points over a season - feels like a stretch to me.
Sounds like the answer to me to get Tkachuk more ice time is less about Bennett and more about double shifting him on the 3rd or 4th lines to get more ice time. Especially when our depth is thinner due to injury.
