Some old school picks...

Earthbound on SNES. I am not into RPG games at all, but that one has had me hooked since 1995. I will still play through it every year or two to bring back the memories.

Tetris on NES. Such a classic. In addition to just seeing how high you can get your lines, you also have that mid to late game portion where you have to decide if you want to keep going for tetrises or just play it safe with singles.

Super Mario World for SNES. I like this one most of the old school mario games. I feel like it was the right balance of complexity and simplicity.

Mario Kart for SNES. This was the ultimate battle game between friends for our neighborhood. Whether it was doing a cup series or battle mode, the intensity was always high.
