You are going to have to overpay if you sign him now. You could argue that Rittich couldn't have played any better in the first half of the season. Odds are he will take a step back, small or large, in the second half of the season. That would help in any contract negotiations. If Rittich takes the Flames deep in the playoffs I would happy to see the him get a good contract.
