Small content providers would benefit by getting exposed - "buy the Disney channel, HBO and SportsNet and you'll also get X Y and Z." And big companies could offset their costs and potentially offer a small discount for a long term package commitment.

What benefit would there be to sportsnet, hbo or Disney selling their product at a discount through a third party provider? If I'm sportsnet, why should I join Netflix?
