A couple of weeks ago I outlined a 22-step plan to improve my team over the course of the summer, up until the end of August. I created a list of players who I would be okay with trading, some trade and free agent targets, and an ideal roster with ratings. It looked something like this:
(76-78) - (73-76) - (73-76)
(71-74) - (73 Nielsen) - (70-73)
(70-73) - (70-72) - (70-72)
(68-70) - (67-70) - (69-72)
(74-77) - (71 Rielly)
(70-73) - (69 Larsson)
(68-70) - (68-70)
(78 Anderson)
(70-74)
Acquiring a first-round pick was step 17 on said list, because I figured it would be easier to do once I had traded Vrbata, which was supposed to be step 16 but actually happened before this trade, which was step 15. It is now at the top of my priority list.
I have literally everything planned out and at the front of my mind right now. You'll get your first-rounder, I'll make sure of it.
