Well looks like we can look forward to decreased inner city services (and higher taxes) in order to subsidize suburban growth that nobody (except the developers) actually wants. The city is considering closing the Eau Claire fire hall (which serves 25000 people downtown and in surrounding neighbourhoods as well as being responsible for river rescue) to build a fire hall in Livingston.
